This policy explains how iliketool.com (the "Website," all the browser-based tools listed on this site) and the Blob Media Downloader browser extension (the "Extension") handle data. Both are provided by Mahesh Prajapati, an individual based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India ("we", "us").

Summary: Every tool on this Website, and the Extension, processes your files and data entirely in your own browser. We do not receive, store, or see the files you convert, edit, or download.

1. The Website (iliketool.com)

Every tool on this Website — image, PDF, CSS, JSON, and other converters and utilities — runs entirely client-side, in your browser. Files you upload, convert, or generate are never sent to our servers; they stay on your device.

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand anonymous traffic patterns and page performance (e.g. which pages are visited, load times). This does not identify you personally and does not track you across other websites.

If we introduce advertising (such as Google AdSense) in the future, this policy will be updated in advance to disclose any related cookie usage and how to opt out, in line with Google's advertising policies.

2. The Extension (Blob Media Downloader)

The Extension finds and saves standalone blob: media exposed by the page you're currently viewing. Both scanning and downloading happen entirely inside your browser, using your browser's own downloads feature. The Extension has no account system, no license server, and does not communicate with any server we operate. We do not collect your browsing history, page contents, downloads, IP address, or any other personal data through the Extension.

Permissions the Extension uses, and why:

  • activeTab / scripting — to read the current tab for blob: media, only when you click "Scan This Page."
  • downloads — to save a found file using your browser's normal download mechanism.
  • offscreen — an internal Chrome API used to assemble downloaded bytes; it never sends or receives data outside your browser.

3. Cookies

Aside from what Vercel Analytics may use for aggregate, non-identifying traffic measurement, this Website does not use tracking or advertising cookies at this time.

4. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and applicable data protection principles, you may ask what data we hold about you, request correction or erasure, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Given the limited data described above, most requests can be resolved simply by contacting us.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
